In case you wish to transfer a domain name from one domain name registrar to another, you’ll need a unique domain name authorization code, which may be called by different names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain password, etc. All these names denote one and the same thing – a code that the domain name owner gets from the current registrar and provides to the new one at the time of the order. Without a valid code, a domain transfer procedure cannot be initiated and this is one of the security mechanisms against unapproved transfers used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For even greater safety, the code includes digits and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so in case you want to transfer one of your domains, you need to supply the new domain registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Website Hosting

In case you have a Linux shared website hosting, you’ve registered a domain name with us and you want to transfer it away, you can get its EPP authorization code with less than a few mouse clicks. When you sign into your Hepsia Control Panel and go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all the domains that you’ve registered with our company shown alphabetically. Next to each domain name, you will notice a mini EPP icon for all generic and country-code top-level domain name extensions that need an EPP code in order to be transferred between companies. Clicking the icon will send the code to the domain name registrant’s email address right away. In the same section you can also see and eventually update the email, if the one there is not valid any longer.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you register a domain name under a semi-dedicated server account with us, you’ll be able to obtain its EPP transfer authentication code with only a mouse click, in case you decide to transfer it to another company. All it takes to do that is to log in to your Hepsia Control Panel, to go to the Registered Domains section and to click on the EPP button, which will be to the right of the domain name. Of course, this button will be there only if the respective domain name extension supports transfers with an EPP transfer code. Within 60 seconds, an email that includes the code will be sent to the domain name owner’s email account associated with that domain name. You can update the latter through the same Control Panel section – in case the one that is currently listed in the WHOIS register is not a valid one. Since the change will take effect without any delays, you can request the EPP code directly after that.
